37/365: “Worry” by Jack Garratt
Released almost exactly one year ago, Jack Garratt’s debut album Phase seamlessly blends heavy electronic elements into a bluesy singer-songwriter aesthetic. “Worry” is an intoxicating escalation from intimate piano dirge to soulful strut that perfectly highlights Garratt’s diverse talents. Despite generally positive reviews for Phase, Jack Garratt has yet to firmly establish his presence but with a respectable middle-line billing on the Coachella poster and songs like “Worry” and “Weathered” on the resume, his breakout moment is surely imminent.
